This is to inform suitably qualified candidates and the general public that the Zamfara State Teachers Service Board (TSB) is recruiting Teachers into Secondary Schools in the State.

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates with NCE, BSc.Ed, BA.Ed, or BA/BSc (Single Honors) with PGDE and NYSC Certificate/Exemption (where applicable) is required.

• TRCNcertificate, and a minimum of 2 years working experience are added advantage.

• Strictly, only candidates with the following teaching subjects are needed.

1. English
2. Mathematics
3. Biology
4. Chemistry
5. Physics
6. Computer Studies/ICT
7. Entrepreneurship Studies (Animal Husbandry/ Agricultural Science/ Home Economics/ Technical Drawing)

• Candidates with Distinction, Credit and Merit for NCE and First and second class for Bachelor degrees will be given priority considerations.

• Candidates applying for the position should not be more than 40 years old.

• Candidates with knowledge of basic Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint have added advantage.

 

Posting and deployment:

• Posting and deployment of teachers will be according to school demand and are mostly in rural areas.

 

Time/Period:

• The successful candidates will be working from 7:30am to 2pm on school week days. Ability to work with adolescent children is as added advantage.

 

Salary:

• Salary will be according to Teachers Salary Scale currently being implemented in the state, and will be on six months’ probation period as provided in the scheme of service.

• Performance will determine the permanent/pensionable engagement after the probation period.

Screening process:

• Only eligible candidates will be invited to the recruitment process which includes; Computer Based Test (CBT), Written and Oral Interviews as well as Microteaching.
