The cut off mark for the recruitment has been announced by the Ministry of Education:

  • Recruitment Cut Off Mark is 45%

CBT Results Breakdown

  • If your score was over 300 and your percentage (%) was displayed, this is how you can calculate your actual score.
  • Maths questions were 40, which means each question is 2.5 marks (2.5 × 40 = 100)
    English has 40 questions too. Hence, each question carries 2.5 marks (2.5 × 40 = 100)
  • General knowledge (for NCE) and subject areas (for degrees) has 20 questions. Each question carries 5 marks (5 × 20 = 100)

To get your percentage score:

  • Add your total scores, divide it by 300 and multiply by 100.
    Eg:

English – 80
Maths – 90
General knowledge/subject area – 95

Total: 265

Percentage:

265/300 × 100 = 88%

To get the actual score:

  • Divide each subject score with it’s specific mark for each question, then add it together to get your total score.

Eg: (still using the scores from above)

English: 80/2.5 = 32
Maths: 90/2.5 = 36
General knowledge/subject area: 95/5 = 19

Total score: 32 + 36 + 19 = 87 (this is what is now displaying on your dashboard which is your actual score).

  1. Please sir, I want to understand this 45% cut off Mark. Base on your analysis. My total score is 44. I got 17 out of 20 question from my subject area. that 17*5=85, mathematics 15 out of 40 question, that is 15*2.5=37.5. English 12 out of 40 question, that is 12*2.5=30. Therefore, 85+37.5+30=152.5/300=0.50*100=50.8%.sir, please I want know if am included.
